With over 15 years of experience in immersive design, Sammy Stone is a leading figure in the American LARP industry and one of the most influential trans (nonbinary) LARP producers in the United States. A core founder of the Emergent LARP movement; a blend of traditional American gamism with Nordic design principles to create emotionally resonant and collaborative experiences. Sammy is also a co-founder and producer of DrachenFest US, the country’s largest fantasy LARP event, developed alongside a team of industry experts.
Outside of immersive design, Sammy is a partner at Red Kite Project, a workforce development firm that applies a post-war reconstruction model to resilience-building and crisis intervention. As a facilitator, they help individuals and teams navigate grief and trauma in high-pressure sectors such as public transit and emergency medicine. For nearly two decades, Sammy has worked to establish Red Kite Project as a recognized leader in trauma-informed violence prevention and crisis response—ensuring that empathy, sociodrama, and play remain central tools in facing the American burnout epidemic.
